If, on the day of the delivery, you realise that you are going to miss the delivery you can do one of two things to avoid having to rearrange the delivery.
If you have somewhere on your property where the item can be left outside you can leave a note stating where this is and the couriers will leave your order there. You must leave a note as the driver will need to take this as proof of delivery.
If you don’t have somewhere outside they can leave it but you know a neighbour who will be in and willing to take the delivery for you, then you can leave a note to this effect and the courier will leave it with the designated neighbour.
If you do not leave any kind of instructions the courier may try to leave it with a neighbour and if successful they will put a card through your door stating where they left it. They are not obliged to try your neighbours so do not assume they will.
If you don’t leave any notes and the driver doesn’t leave it with a neighbour then they will put a card through your door with the details of how to rearrange the delivery. Please note you may be charged for any attempted redeliveries.
You may find out in advance that you aren’t going to be able to take delivery on the nominated day. If this is the case contact us immediately and, if the item hasn’t already been dispatched, we will be able to delay delivery for you.
Once an item is dispatched we can’t change the delivery date and you may incur additional delivery charges.
